Finally a trade show again! At pro-beam, the excitement in anticipation of Formnext 2021 was huge. Under the heading "E-Beam Additive goes Industrial", two new systems for the additive manufacturing of metal components with the electron beam were presented to the public for the first time:
The wire-based PB WEBAM 100 system enables the production of large components with an excellent surface quality, while users can extract the maximum in process productivity with the powder bed-based PB EBM 30S system. Both are specifically designed for 3D printing of metal components in industrial environments and are based on long-standing expertise in the areas of technology development, series production as well as plant engineering.
Already last year at Formnext, pro-beam presented the 3D printing processes WEBAM (Wire Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing) and EBM (Electron Beam Melting), which can be described as the core of the systems. Now the company is positioning itself as both a solution and systems partner in the AM market.
